Description
The House of Laurent-Perrier was Founded in 1812. Fired by a passion for champagne and a respect for traditional values, Bernard de Nonancourt inspired Laurent-Perrier in 1948 with his independent spirit and creative audacity. He created the signature house style of freshness, finesse and elegance and developed a unique range of champagnes. Laurent-Perrier is the only House whose most prestigious and exacting Cuvée, Grand Siècle, is not vintage but numbered, a blend of 3 exceptional vintages in order to recreate the perfect year.
At Laurent-Perrier, they see the art of blending Champagne as a way of drawing out the complexities and ironing out the vagaries of vintages. Being able to draw on mature stocks from across the region allows their Chef de Cave to create a harmonious and luxurious wine in the form of their Grand Siècle.
On 19 June at our Great Portland Street shop, Laurent-Perrier’s David Hesketh MW will present the 100 pt Grand Siècle Iteration No.26. This wine achieved a perfect score with James Suckling and is fast becoming a contemporary icon of wine. The lineup will also include a vertical tasting of 2012 and 2015 vintages as well as two other iterations of Grand Siècle.
This will be a sit-down masterclass with a curated range of wines to taste.
